The Jockey Horse Riding Race is one of the most heartfelt and long-awaited events of the year. It is a historic race that has been taking place for almost a century along the central Viale d’Italia on the occasion of the feast of St Egidio Abate.
In 2008, the race of St Egidio changed its name into “Drappo dei Comuni”. Sixteen horses ridden by their jockeys are associated by drawing lots to sixteen municipalities of the area.
