A craft workshop making Maremma and military saddles, belts, bags and the Catana bag, better known as the ‘Tolfa Bag’, for four generations.
This business was started back in 1883 when the founder, Mr. Giuseppe Bertolozzi, known as Mastro Peppe (Master Peppe!), was invited to go to Bagnoregio (VT) to work as a saddler for the cattlemen and herdsmen in that area.
In 1919, due to the growing demand for leather by the Tolfa herders, Master Peppe decided to move his workshop to Tolfa, thus triggering the success of the Bertolozzis’ business.
Today, Mr. Lamberto and his daughter Valeria run the family business.
With Valeria, who joined them in 2010, the business has gained momentum, innovating while maintaining the old working techniques.
Innovation combines with traditional production, using all cutting-edge technologies for enhancing and promoting production both in Italy and abroad.
Now the traditional BAG OF TOLFA is known and sold all over the world thanks to e-commerce.
